Hooray for TechSmith! You've touched on just about everything wrong with most other tutorials on YouTube. You speak slowly and clearly. Most don't. You've learned that the word "create" is not pronounced "crate, " for instance, and that planning and practice are important for any tutorial. As an audio engineer, and studio owner, I'm looking for tips to start a YouTube channel for audio production and engineering. This video has been pretty helpful and so I'd like to offer some advice back:

If it's not too late, you should try to leave some gaps in the foam squares, such that they don't create a _"wall of foam."_ You want to have _some_ of the natural resonance and reverb from the room you're in, unless it's too small. But that room definitely looks large enough to benefit from a little natural reflection.

One of the most important preliminary steps in making a how-to video is learning how to do whatever it is you plan to teach how to do. Just do it off camera, on your own time. I find it incredibly annoying when folks film themselves learning how to do something then post that as a tutorial. Most of the time, I don't care about ideas that didn't pan out or efforts that failed due to circumstances unique to the tutorial presenter.

I was questioning my sanity when I searched “how to make a video tutorial tutorial video lol”

1st. Learn about logic and logical reasoning.
2nd. learn about human behaviour.
3rd. learn and understand HOW humans perceive and alter information
4th NEVER THINK, that humans have a basic knowledge of ANYTHING.
5th explain each step in DETAIL.
6th show people where you got your information from that needs to be known.
7th make sure, that you can interact and communicate with your audience if questions come up.
8th let people explain the process in their own words and correct them, if their way of thinking has flaws that can lead to mistakes.

What is the teaching term for presenting the end-results (the Whats in it for me motivator) first, then proceed with the tutorial of how to get there and the "why" theory of operation for each step?
I find this approach to be the most effective, and least used, on YT technical tutorials, so the correct terminology may get better Searches. Thanks
