Michael Hogan deserves way more recognition. Colonel Tigh has one of the best arcs in the entire show, and while the revelation at the end of Season 3 did blindside me, I liked where he ends up. It was a rocky ride, but I still like the conclusion.

Kate Vernon did a great acting job throughout the series.

He loved her, he always did. He new he had to do it even though it will destroy him as a person and she new that he had to do it as well

It was necessary. Sad, but necessary.

This scene is fantastic.

You did it, you brought 'em home Saul.

Not all of them.

I hated Ellen so much before this scene... by the end of it, I was like, "no!" Really fantastic.

I still wish Ellen didn't come back as the fifth. The end of Season 3 perfectly set it up as Starbuck and they blew it, and then it also undermined this great sacrifice.

Okay, random question. I'm rewatching the trial and Lampkin's talking about the person who ordered Ellen's death. I literally just realised that that was probably Sam, wasn't it? Because he told Tigh that she had to go (something along those lines, at least)

I have a question regarding the armistice station: in the pilot episode it is said that the colonials sent an officer once every year while the cylons sent none. Of course, most of these years this was due to the cylons preparing the Fall, but they did not prepare war for the whole 40 years. For some years, the Final Five were not killed by Cavil yet and had the opportunity to send someone. So why didn't they do that? Weren't they originally willing to contact the colonials in order to warn them that they should treat their creations good.
Now we know that it was already too late and they offered the centurions resurrection and skinjobs in return of peace with humans. But shouldnt the Final Five be the first to ensure that peace will remain? So why didn't they send anyone until they were killed and put into the colonies? According to the Battlestar wiki they had at least 8 years until they were suffocated by Cavil.

I wonder if she knew it was poison and knew what he had to do, it seemed that way.

This show had so many we see Tigh poison his wife...shocking....then Ellen shows up on a freaking Cylon regeneration within twists.

A shame that the writers' strike caused this show to end on such a whimper. BSG really delivered here.
