The Louisiana Supreme Court made a life-changing decision for hundreds of young lawyers Wednesday, waiving the bar exam for 2020 law school graduates.

It’s a historical ruling but follows the lead of several other states like Utah and Oregon, which have made the same decision.

It allows those who have completed law school this year, like Loyola University College of Law graduate Wynton Yates, to begin their next chapter.

“It’s been beyond a rollercoaster,” said Yates.

I won't hire a lawyer who didn't take the Bar Exam.

NEVER HIRE A LAWYER IN LOUISIANA UNLESS THIER MEMBER OF THE AMERICAN BAR ASSOCIATION.
IF YOU NEED A LAWYER AND HAVE THE TIME TO LOOK FOR A LAWYER. TRY AND TALK TO A COURTROOM REPORTER. THEY KNOW THE LAWYERS WHO ARE BUDDY UP WITH JUDGES AND THE LAWYER'S WHO REALLY REPRESENT THEIR CLIENT. BUT STILL MAKE SURE THIER MEMBER OF THE AMERICAN BAR ASSOCIATION. ITS GOING TO HARD TO FIND ONE. YOU CAN CALL THE ABA AND ASK. THEY WILL GIVE YOU SOME NAMES.

I think when it comes to these exams lawyers, nurses, doctors these exams dont say what kind of professional you will be. Your experience determination and skill level does. I see many ppl pass these exams and are horrible at these jobs they have books smarts but no common senses. I've see ppl struggle to past and are outstanding in there profession. I think experience with well trained professionals is really the best determination. These exams are basically given so the state has some6to compare you against; should something ever happen they can say you were board certified.
Food for thought: Some may pass the exam some may not. However, the ones that pass are not in the clear as they're license can also be revoked should they do something that jeporodizes their license.
That being said even though you passed the exam you must still protect your license and if you dont then you are equivalent to the group that didn't pass because now you are also unlicensed.
So I don't think the test overall determines how good someone is in that profession. I see professionals all the time and wonder how in the world & why in the world are they still licensed🤣 but that's left up to the board.
SO BE KIND TO THESE INDIVIDUALS THEY MAY BE OUTSTANDING IN THEIR PROFESSION. WE ALL GO THROUGH A FEW SPEED BUMBS BEFORE WE ARE SUCCESSFUL.
REMEMBER FAILURE IS SUCCESS UPSIDE DOWN. MANY OUTSTANDING PPL NEVER WENT TO COLLEGE OR WENT AND DROPPED OUT. YET, THEY HAVE CHANGED THE WORLD IN AMAZING WAYS OVER THEY YEARS. SO PLEASE BE🐝🐝 KIND♥️♥️🙂🤗 GIVE THEM A CHANCE😁

I see no reason why the Bar Exam could not go forward.
Applicants who would be testing in New Orleans could be divided
among Tulane and Loyola Universities and therefore be "socially distant" while taking the exams. They could be required to sanitize their hands and wear masks.
Exam books could be left on the table in front of them. There can be no contact
between the examiners and the applicants. The applicants temperature could
be taken each day of an exam.
Applicants could have been tested for Covid 15-30 days in advance of the exam.

It is only my humble opinion but the bar exam should have been held with the appropriate precautions. Or postponed for a brief period in order that the necessary arrangements could be made to conduct a safe examination.

Ok then lawyers that couldn’t pass the Bar should be half price! You shouldn’t have to pay full price for lower quality representation... there are so many entitled whiners in this country anymore… What a joke
