I think the beauty of this song is that it captures a thought, a memory, a time from what seems so long ago, something that we still mourn even though life is good right now. Whoever said feeling sorrow is bad? Why do we feel guilty or make up scenarios in our mind just to feel sad? I'm truly blessed in my life, a wonderful wife asleep upstairs, a family that cares, friends that listen. But I've still suffered loss, the truth is we all have, whether big or small. Even though I'm not alone, and I don't feel alone in most aspects, I still miss the ones I've lost, I still feel the aloneness of that one person not being here. This song brings to surface the weeping we still feel. It's not wrong, whether loved by many or none, feeling alone is a reality for us all. In what can often feel like a cold world, sometimes the warmth we need most is the warmth of a tear on our cheek. You'll feel better, just wait and see.
