It’s so hard scoring the forehand backhand goals this year because of the L3 button plus right stick being protect puck. Every time I get a breakaway I accidentally protect puck. Also I find myself doimg fake shots accidentally clicking in R3. I really hope they change some of these controls

I personally struggle big time with this because for some reason I always trigger protect puck and then I can't move my stick normally it seems for an instant. Sometimes I'm lucky and it works, sometimes works despite the protect puck animation, but infuriating since protect puck should have been left on X when you don't trigger it accidentally.
Maybe it's my remote but I seem to trigger it 75% of the time unless I just glide and do the left/right but as shown in the video, not moving your player isn't very effective.

When I press R3 down, my player kind of jumps and lets go of a puck. What do you do different to have the “Datsyuk Move” any controller settings I got wrong?

Austin!! You've hurt my feelings. Hahaha. In EASHL I'll scream as soon as I see a guy head to the boards for the cut across goal. Then I'll do the left right left backhand move every time. Am I a cheese too?!

as a dman i used to have to stand in the slot to prevent short side attempts. now i just stand near the goalie and watch people skate around trying to do this first goal. i give people a lot of time on attack, and if they were smart they'd shoot....but they're cheese. they're all cheese. lol

Im playing on Rookie to try and grind some stuff to build a free team and the rookie goalies make 60 saves a game on me 😩 i try and deke but they are crazy good even when they are down

This is for anyone that has played 3 vs 3 in chel does the Ai goalie do a better job stopping a cross crease cheese goal in NHL 24 during a penalty shot or your Defence gets stuck up the ice

New game is garbage, it would be nice if EA had some competition or actually had their programmers playing the game. Physics is broken, their obsession with this reverse hit and the one button moves like the Michigan are just lazy. The goals we see are weak and you can already see the sole glitch shots, backhands. Their physics system is ludacris where it constantly jumps to the next stick and the goalies can’t save anything. A 200 lb man taking a run at a guy and bounces off ?
The goalie tether system is laughable, and they can’t make saves in position any way.
The list is endless. Quit catering to the lowest common denominator with the easy button moves and the lame goals.
Fix your servers, fix the defensive system, fix goaltending, quit putting hits with the same button as shots, and the setup needed to build your skaters/goalies across the board in customization? Lololol
Glitches in dressing rooms galore, online games where one team can do no wrong and the other can dominate and not do a thing? Look no further, EA rolled out another classic NHL title. FFS guys

Good tips! Could you do a video on how to score on pro in an actual game and higher difficulty teams for things like HUT Moments? Would be super useful as it seems this year to get good rewards we will have to do alot of CPU challenges where you dont get alot of breakaways.

On PS5, do you use the usb c cable or bluetooth for your controller? Im not sure which one has less imput delay and response faster👍👍👍
