Dunlop Grandtrek AT5 2000km review / Serious AT contender?

Dunlop Grandtrek AT5 2000km review on my recently lifted Nissan X-Trail T-31. Can the new AT5 all-terrain tire compete in a highly competitive all-terrain market globally, with the likes of Goodyear Wrangler, BFGoodrich KO2, Bridgestone Dueller, Michelin LTX, Cooper Discoverer and many more? Only on Africa Sideways.

After much research I replaced my BF’s with AT5’s. Price point was much better but I was nervous about punctures, but after 9000kms in Nam and Boots I can say Dunlop have finally got it right.

Good review. Have had the same experience as you. Much quieter than the General Grabbers I had on too. You literally cannot hear these tyres... Did 2000kays on gravel in Namibia, fully loaded, and not a single chip, tear or crack in the rubber. Amazing. As a daily driver and occasional gravel road driving tyre, this tyre rocks.

We've just replaced a set of old Hankooks with these on a first-gen ML; then headed for Namibia the very next day. So far we've only noted improvements! 👍

Do you think it's an AT tyre test? You went where you could go with an old VW Beetle, a Fiat Uno, a Renault 4 or a Citroën 2 CV. I stopped before 2:00.

Hello thanks for the review.. i use xtrail t31 2013, plan to change to at5 235/60/r17.. What size you use and you also change the rims? My car rims size r17. Please advice, Thanks..
