I developed a small patch on my upper lip after my first deployment in the military. It makes some mustache hairs white and my skin white inside of the small patch. I also have white areas on my stomach and arm. I am 23 and I first noticed signs at ~22.

My grandpa died from an extremely rare
autoimmune disease called HLH. I am unaware of any other family members having autoimmune problems.

I pray for you reading this, that you would be kept in good health and that no additional autoimmune complications would arise.

I pray for you who have other autoimmune complications, that you could be treated and healed.

I pray for you who are anxious about this condition, that you could find peace and know that you would know that you are loved by God.

I want to thank medical professionals for helping people with their needs.

Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

I have vitiligo. It mentally destroyed me. It destroyed my childhood and adulthood. It destroyed my social life. There is no hope as there's no permanent cure. I'm in my early 30s and I am now considering depigmentation using monobenzone. Thank you so much for making a video on a medical condition besides skin care videos.

Developed vitiligo at 8 years old a few months after we moved to a new city. I am in my 30s now and it has spread to about 80% of my body, it is still spreading and never stabilized. Also, no one else has vitiligo in my family. Thank you so much for the video, it contained so much helpful information.

Imagine what MICHAEL JACKSON ❤️ went through having this rare disease and managing it at a time it was not so known to many and people still bullied him about bleaching his skin, Now I just can't stop thinking about how he managed and still made the world so happy with his performances. WE WILL FOREVER LOVE YOU MICHAEL JACKSON ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Don’t let it destroy you, live within yourself, like Dr King said, “don’t judge by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character “.
Skin color is just the color of ones body that ambulates and nourishes the mind of which character comes from.👍

I have vitiligo since I had Chemo and Bone transplantation in my childhood. Not on the face but on my body. I used to hate it and wanted it to be gone but than with time I got used to them and find them kind of beautiful on me. And now they started to fade away with time. I don't know excatly why, maybe because of my diet or lifestyle. I take a lot vitamin c, try to eat a lot meat because of iron, and also copper. I avoid also sugar as good as possible. My advice, don't focus on them but try to live a good life and take care of your health. In my opinion they are making me unique, the way they are. Thank you Dr Dray. I still enjoyed the Video !

I had a third degree sunburn in my face, it was soo severe it scabbed a deep dark color in the healing process. After the scab fell off, the skin started going between transparent greenish/purple-ish and my skin color for several weeks before the entire area that had been severely sun burned turned all white. Then vitiligo spots started appearing throughout my body after that.
A dermatologist told me my body probably protected me from getting skin cancer, to see vitiligo as a blessing. I like to see it that way.

My mom had a little vitiligo on her neck and she had hypothyroidism. I have some vitiligo on my hands and as far as I know my thyroid is ok. No cancer or bone stuff. I'm 72 and only notice it when I am tanned in the summer. It doesn't bother me. I really don't care what people think about it. I'm certainly not going to let it interfere with my life!

I've been waiting for you to touch on this. It started over 20 years ago and keeps spreading. Now I know what else to look out for.
Thanks.

I've been having vitiligo since I was 5... I can cope with it by now. It used to be so much more noticeable when I was a child.

thank you for this video. after leaving an abusive relationship, I developed vitiligo on the left side of my body. I believe the stress from that contributed to me getting vitiligo. A dermatologist prescribed tacrolimus ointment for short term use; I don't use it anymore though. It helped fade some of the discoloration on my skin. I developed white hair on my head and eyebrows, they have faded some.
