*The Origin of Red Tomato as we know today came from South America* not Mexico. The Language of the Incas was Quechua and the Quechua Word for Tomato is Chilltu (Pronounce as CHILL-TU in Spanish) . Spain use to unify names across its Colonies in America, that is why they confused the World joining Green Tomato and Red Tomato as just "Tomate" The German Botanic Augusto Weberbauer identified the origin of *Red* Tomato to be from Peru 🇵🇪 . All the Science and Studies says that Tomato (the red one we know) is from South America. There is no arqueological evidence that in Mexico was used red tomato, but the evidence for green tomate is big, while in Peru the evidence of red tomate is everywhere

The peruvian kind is not edible and not used even there. The Mexican red variety is the one brought to Spain and then all over by The Spanish. Spain was the first to put tomatoes on pizzas, pastas, rice and all over, not Italy. They lie to you the mafiosos.. LOL..
