Finally, someone who prefers Zootopia over Moana. I liked Moana, but Zootopia was awesome with a great message of never giving up and being tolerant to people regardless of race, gender, orientation, religion and opinions!

zootopia didnt win just because the oscars like disney films. although it seems that that is the pattern, it won because of how much of a powerful message it gave to us, the audience. a theme of racism and prejudice, that was treated with respect. it gave us a great detective story surrounding that message with some memorable characters to carry that story on their shoulders. it truly was a remarkable film and very well deserves the award.

At least this one doesn't have the presenters say that animation is a "genre" and doesn't make jokes that it's for kids and adults are forced to watch it. 2015 and 2022's Oscars are the most disrespectful to the medium of animation.

Easily my favorite animated movie of 2016, and easily my favorite Disney movie next to the Lion King.

Extremely complex and well developed characters, a very creative world, an exciting story, spectacular animation, absolutely hilarious jokes, and an incredibly well done commentary on prejudice.
