Hearing adult siblings who trust each other talk about each other is so special

"You got to get ugly when you sing" I forgot who said it but it always stuck with me

It shows his love and security that he wants her to have her freedom. But I also hope they will always be together

I love working alone in the studio. I feel like it unlocks so many opportunities, especially when you don’t hold back. Love this!

This was the song that made me want to listen to everything they’ve ever made. Such a well produced track.

I’ve always been super impressed with just how much Billie and Finneas think about every single element of their songs. Billie talking about her considerations about how she should sing What Was I Made For is eye-opening and an inspirational.

He’s right, also recording and processing these vocals takes tons of time so I bet he’s so glad that she does that process herself now.

This is super true. When I record my friends I literally just hit record, tell them "it's just gonna loop over and over so you can do as many takes as you want, the room's yours" and i just bounce. And I feel like you always get the best performances that way.

yeap, after spending lots of money with professional producers my voice could never come out in the studio the way I sing at home and I realized that the best takes happened for me when I'm alone without the pressure of music producers at the studio. (I also developed red light syndrome cuz of them). That's why I started recording my own voice in my home studio and decided to study music production and audio engineer. Best thing I ever did. Now my voice is always recorded the way I want in every song.

I love listening/watching him speak and explain his thought process. So articulate/ imagine if he did a Mastercards series or something.
Sheesh

I wish she’d do more “as live” vocal takes. They might not be as perfect in her view but they’re so nice
