Hello, is it possible to use just a power cable without a battery?

Where does the cable on the left go? The video was too close. It needs to show both heads of the cable.. otherwise I need to guess where it goes.. Terrible explanation with a robotic voice.. this way it gives the idea the product is "pirate/fake" with this terrible explanation coming from their own employees/company!
