this is a great video and all, but the application im trying to open has spaces. i tried doing stuff like /example example/, /example_example/, and /exampleexample/ but none of those worked. is there a way to do it that you know of?

anyone needing the no-typing version of this.
simply drag and drop the executable into terminal.
that will also insert the backslashes for apps with spaces in the name. 😉

Nice video, an alternative to typing it all out is to follow the same path to get to the executable file and just copy “insert file name” and then paste into terminal. Saves a bit of time

That’s not just working for MacOS Apps. I have a Java Application which I frequently use and it was crashing over and over, until I launched it from a 3rdparty terminal app. Since then it’s working better.

Great video mate thank you. Question for you though is, how do you use it to trouble shoot. As I play Football manager 20 which I got through steam. Works great until I exit the game. When I click exit, the game closes but I keep getting an error message saying the game quit unexpectedly. I am using MBP, 8gb ram 500gb ssd on High Sierra. TIA
