This man will take over Protoxx. One of my favorite RuneScape YouTuber disappeared because her job paid her more than MTX.

Never got the survey and tbh pretty pissed I didn't get to voice my concerns. Premier 20+ year account. Would have thought I deserved to receive the email.

1:09 one of the other runetubers @froggiegames made a video about how to use inf. porters.
Curosity or execution surrounding this probably resulted because muspah spines are porter items. Nihil parts too by the looks. Both defined by his video.

I didn't get a survey neither on my on my 20 year old acc, where back in the days I paid for mebership and even had purchased one cosmetic when they first came arround nor on my new completely f2p nearly maxed acc where I only bought bonds for mebership with f2p earned money as bond prices were 100M+

I agree that the surveys should be available to everyone regardless of the player's experience since Jagex should try to satisfy players that have played the game for years and also listen to new players they want to have continue playing the game and not quit in the early stages of the account. Jagex could add a question asking the survey replier to specify if their account is a main account, ironman account, or even pure skilling account, something like that. This could allow Jagex to understand how different player bases react to an update suggestion depending on their account's game style and preference. Also if the survey is linked to a player's Jagex account email, then internally Jagex could also collect further details on Runescores, skill level total, clue scroll completions, boss kills or quest points, just to name a few, on the accounts that reply to the survey. Using these details to narrow down the different opinions in the player base depending on their skill level in different parts of the game, rather than focusing on general metrics. As a result allowing Jagex to have a general overview of the player base's opinion on an update and the ability to narrow down the replies to accounts that could be the most affected by a specific update.

so we irons can pick up supplies in gate, but we still can't in croesus all these years later. yeah that sounds about right.

This makes sence and this is why: many people have multiple accounts on runescape. I assume this is an attempt to prevent players from "stuffing the ballot box" with responses from all of their accounts that gives their opinion more sway then another casual player who only has one account.

I wouldn't call myself a programmer, but I do know some coding.

The simple explanation is that most likely, something in Runescape's spaghetti code tried to make the program shove a round block into a square hole. When unstoppable force meets immovable object, the entire program nopes out and closes itself to prevent any possibility of causing damage.

Another possibility is that somebody screwed up somewhere and allowed some sort of interaction or loop that would draw WAY more resources than it was supposed to or wouldn't end when it's supposed to. When that happens, the program once again closes itself to prevent damage.

Just doing GOE and there has been a change to Transmute barrier as well. Can no longer click two squares away when dodging glyphs unless you are so precise to click the very outside edge. You have to use right-click move here option OR move to square behind it. This has slowed my run times 10-15 seconds. Anyone else experiencing this as well?

First survery:
Jagex: Hey, if we were to remove TH, would you be willing to pay more for sub?
Players: Yes we would pay more for sub if you remove TH
J: What's that, you'd pay more for sub? Bet, we'll raise the price rn!

New survey:
What else will you let us monetise if we were to ADJUST the rewards from TH?

I think I can see where this is going sadly >.>
There surveys were NEVER about actually removing TH. They're just trying to bait fish for more ways to monetise.

Edit: That focus group thing they were talking about in the end is also never going to work, they would never choose someone like myself that won't hesitate to call out what I consider to be BS decision making on their part, they will only choose people that glaze them on a daily basis to blow more smoke up their asses in the hope that it'll benefit them personally somehow if they're in Jagex's good books, and yes, that happens, you're telling me they flew out like 20 RS players, and not a single one complained about the force walk tiles for rituals that were noticeable after like 2 rituals? Sure, no one was there to try find a way to get themselves a leg up :L

Muspah occasionally duplicates memories as you collect them, but the dowser automatically deposits memories. Sounds like a recipe for an edge case where it tries to do something to the duplicated memory knowing there is one but looks in the wrong place. Muspah have their own inventory, so I could imagine the dowser could be doing something like checking the players inventory and finding only 1 memory, but 2 separate deposit calls are made so it tries to deposit the same memory twice. The first one works just fine, but the 2nd one has gotten past the checks for valid deposit and so tries to deposit the now empty inventory slot, resulting in an unexpected error because the calls error handling was bypassed and the code to deposit lacks error handling instead relying on the calls error handling to prevent invalid inputs from ever reaching it, which the dowser accidently does.

Or a different case, where it tries to pull the memory from the muspah's inventory, but the deposit memory function doesn't have the proper handling to do so (not allowed to take from the muspah, or tries to give the muspah the energy but isn't allowed to do that as its only designed to go to the players inventory). Because Code is so finicky, there is bound to be lots of rules that it runs by to ensure the game actually works as expected stuff like the Dowser require a bunch of rules to be rewritten to enable it to work. Its quite easy to miss those edge cases that rarely happen and make a mistake that interferes with or flat out misses them.

Never got an email for the survey, but it's just one of the banner links on the (Lobby screen). The survey definitely didn't feel like an authentic attempt at TH discussion. More like a thinly veiled line of questioning on how to market TH more targeted and optimized. A big chunk of the later questions were devoted to "What shitty microtransaction options would you like better if lamps and stars were removed and rank those choices in order. (None wasn't an option).
