Spotify Star Wars Covers & Remixes Playlist:

This is the Star Wars cover you’re looking for: Scandroid takes a Star Wars classic, “The Force Theme” and turns the synths up to 11 in an epic cover to inspire the Jedi within us all. In the words of Obi-Wan Kenobi, “Remember…the Force will be with you, always.”

“I was inspired by artists like Tomita who re-imagined iconic Star Wars themes with synthesizers. I was excited to cover the “The Force Theme” because I wanted to blend classic analog synthesizers with a re-orchestration of the original song. Not only was I influenced by the classic Star Wars films, but I am inspired by the possibilities of the new films. Enjoy this May 4th release and may the Force be with you.” - Klayton

Scandroid returns with the full-length sophomore album Monochrome, available Friday, October 27th. Featuring 13 tracks, from the retro-synth pop hooks of "Afterglow," "Rendezvous," "Future Bloodline," and "A Thousand Years," to the instrumental epics "Oblivia" and "Searching for a Lost Horizon," Monochrome imagines an alternate future where truth is hidden in "Monochrome."

The album includes modern synthwave covers of John Williams’ famous Star Wars opus "The Force Theme" as well as a hauntingly powerful cover of Michael Jackson’s "Thriller" to be released on Friday the 13th of October. The album concludes with a bonus remix of "Thriller" from mysterious synthwave artist/producer PYLOT.

Following the international success of the debut Scandroid album (Top 10 iTunes Electronic Album USA, Russia, Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, Australia & #5 Billboard Electronic Album), Monochrome continues the journey of ‘Red’ & ‘Aphelion’ in a cyberpunk storyline set in Neo-Tokyo in the year 2518.

Year 2157, lower Neo-Tokyo. Luke buys a pair of second-hand AI hologirls from neurosoma-addicted homeless bums. Once back at his uncle's home, he notices that the hologirls are glitchy, so he takes them to the disaffected warehouse where an old local tech repair man called "Ben" set up his shop. Together, they discover an encrypted message hidden within one hologirl's chip. Ben reveals that he used to be a blackhat hacker fighting against the corporations back in the day, and that Luke's father used to be one until he was betrayed and killed. He decides to train Luke in the art of hacking and gives him his first cybernetic implant. Luke returns home, but notices that his house is ablaze despite the heavy downpour of acid rain falling from the monochrome sky hidden by the towering megaskyscrapers of Neo-Tokyo. He sees the bodies of his uncle and his aunt laying lifeless on the street.
He returns to Ben and together they decide to bring the encrypted datachip to the Underground's leader, but they're soon followed by thugs and bots sent by Darth R. Vader, CEO of EmpireDyne Corporation.

As someone whose formative teen years were all in the 1980s, all I have to say is that this is beyond amazing! The nostalgia hits hard with this one.

Wow, beautiful. I'm sure there's gonna be some people who preferred to have a vocal song, but IMO, this works better this way. Though I don't deny that if this was made by CoD it would have been pretty badass.

Honestly, after hours of hearing this, I still say to myself, "Its too short"... And its 5 minutes...

This is unacceptably underrated well done best force theme remix yet!

The Force Theme... Many have tried to make it rock, pop, techno, and so on, But one thing many miss, is that you need to keep the theme whole. No matter the format, You should be able to keep the Force Theme as it was written,  with any instrument, .

You have done this. I thank you.

Now I will need to pay you for a copy :)

This is amazing! I like this mix of the main theme and Luke Skywalker's theme! This song reminds me of the 80s, and that is perfect! Imagine how this would sound like live! I think it would sound mind blowingly good!
