Those batteries are fire hazardous. Never use such with high currents without proper cooling, never get it to low charge.
Some of them have clever controller inside with lots of protections, while others need external controller.

Это просто получился ёмкий павербенк на 12 вольт и всё. Назад в ИБП его не поставишь, заряжать уже не свинец а литий нужно. Да и разномастные, не высокотоковые б/у банки по напряжению просядут при преобразовании 12В в 220В. В лучшем случае BMS сработает, в худшем - перегрев, вскипание, взрыв и пожар. Заряжать не проблема, врезать круглое гнездо 5, 5 мм и купить на Али рублей за 350 готовую зарядку для лития. Если же делать полноценный аккумулятор для ИБП, то банки надо ставить высокотоковые, BMS на 100 ампер и модуль заряда для лития. Все это спокойно поместится в корпусе. Лайк только за то, что узнал что внутри аккумулятора и сколько банок влезает в корпус))) Тут сделана сборка 3s7p. Знающие, скажите, балансировка банок в параллели не происходит же?

You should add an active balancer because the packs are not the same capacity. As time goes by the voltage difference between packs will grow and you won't be able to discharge them at the same voltage.

Also, since these are recycled batteries, you don't know when will they fail. That is why the batteries should be individually fused on the positive side.

Be safe in building one of these. Be a good example to your viewers. Life and properties are at stake in this small project.

To people who don't understand the needs of lithium ion batteries, I'm sure this looks like a great idea. In reality, though, he has tied together 21 unbalanced cells with thin conductors and no balancing circuitry. It is highly likely that this battery will one day catch fire because of gross, cumulative cell imbalance.

Lithium ion cells are not something to play with. I wouldn't use this battery at all. Someone is going to hook that up to a lead-based battery charger and be in for a big surprise when they can't put out the fire.

Nice building...but you forgot the principal thing for such a building : all cells must have the same capacity, but FIRST OF ALL the same internal resistance or only with very little difference (you didn't control this point) .
If not, your pack will be unbalanced very quickly by use, because cells with high IR will discharge much faster than the other ones. This little BMS can absolutely not maintain the balance in these conditions. Voltage will quickly fall down by use, because discharge amperage will be the big issue if you need some amps.
To be only used for very weak Amps applications : however the balance issue will appear, but not so quickly.

Only good if ALL batteries have same capacity. Other an element can be fully discharged while the other are full. The bms can not fix this.

What was the use of checking and tagging cells when ultimately you used all sort of old and new cells in a parallel. This is horrible imbalance.

... отличная работа, молодец!!!-, вот только такой сварочник с точечной сваркой тяжело будет найти в продаже, такими же способом можно будет заменить аккомуляторы в шуруповерте, чем покупать очень дорогие!!!
