Gelli Printing My Family Valentines

This video shows the process of me making five Valentine gifts for my family members. I use cardstock with my Gelli plate from Gelli Arts to create interesting paper for boxes and covers for the gifts. I even use scraps of the Gelli prints to embellish the tags and toppers. I hope you enjoy the process.

I love chocolate. Chocolate and fruit together is good too but it's a mood thing. :-) Your boxes and bags turned out really cute. I love the prints you made for them. They have a vintage appeal to me. Exactly, cover it up...it never happened. lol They all look so pretty together in the end photos. I enjoyed this. Now I think I need some chocolate. lol :-)

I am just getting to this two years later. But I still love it! What a wonderful thing to do for family. I love how you strive to adapt to their likes/preferences. I do the same. =) When your kids or loved ones have tastes so different from you, it really puts you outside of comfort zone and offers a challenge. Despite how hard it is for me, I actually like that, because you can surprise yourself, you know what I mean? I had such a challenge making a card for my son's fiance when she loves so much dark and nothing girly. Nevertheless, I was pleased with how it came out and it stretched me as an artist. =)

Anyway, you demonstrate that beautifully! Most of all, I found myself thinking of the value of this video to your family! I kept thinking OH, what I would give to have a video of my Mom making something for me (now long passed away.) Or to have one for my son, would be wonderful. To see the process of someone making something for you, is SO precious and special. Have your sons/family seen this? If they do not appreciate it now (I know that feeling, ) then I truly believe they will one day. If they do already, they are extra blessed. =) I have things saved for my son, for when I think he can come to understand and appreciate. To me, I think this video, was THE very best part of your gift. It is clear it is all from your heart. Very beautiful and I am touched that you shared it. It inspired me to get to doing youtube videos sooner. I have had trouble gathering courage. You are inspiring! =)
