Hey everyone,
Once again, I'm not dead. That was a hoax.
I'm not dead until you get an official announcement FROM THIS CHANNEL.

Hey Paul, I’m sure we’d all still love to hear more of your stories and life lessons as long as you’re able, even if you’re not out on the range 👍

Paul isn’t stepping down, he’s just taking a Shatner-esque pause.
Godspeed, Paul. Forever grateful for everything.

Sgt. Harrell,
I served with you for a short time in the 1/162 before you were deployed. It was almost 20 years ago now but I do remember training under you as a young
Private and I will never forget the positive example you set as a soldier and a leader. Thank you sir for the memories and for the channel, I have always enjoyed the videos they have always been entertaining and informative.

With all respect I have read some comments that you are dealing with pancreatic cancer. My father dealt with this in 2017 and I want you to know my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I'm not going to be sad for you Paul. Instead, I choose to celebrate that we ever had a man like you to look up to in the first place. Godspeed my brother, you will be in my prayers...

And in his trademark, zero-attention-to-himself style, Paul walks out of our lives.

The world just got a pretty big chunk sadder hearing those words from Paul. I'm so sorry. It shouldn't have to end this way.

5 months ago Paul specifically asked to be spared condolences, so I will oblige. Still I want to reiterate what many commenters have pointed out before: Paul has left a mark on the world on and off of YouTube and his videos have and will continue to educate, advocate for and, in his own, rather unique way, entertain firearms enthusiasts for a long time to come. A big thank you to Paul for all the work he has done for us and I am sure Roy will carry on well with the channel.

Sir,
I am a retired LEO and long time Firearms Instructor. One of the best compliments I have ever received was when a student told me I reminded him of you. I thank you for your work, your wit,
and your calm, low-key style. I wish you the very best.

This is Paul's biggest battle and he is facing it with grace and courage. He is the ultimate teacher for firearms and in this case a role model in how to be a man. God speed and we hope for a miracle.

Paul, I'm a 40-something combat veteran who listens to you with the fascination of a 12 year old Boy Scout. You're quite possibly the finest firearms instructor to ever grace this earth. No one can replace you.

Paul, I very rarely ever leave comments, but I find myself with an overwhelming need to just reach out and say thank you. Thank you for what you've given to the firearms community, thank you for the valuable lessons you've taught us, and thank you for being someone I could look up to. The world would be a much better place, if even just 1% of the population had a modicum of your graciousness, humility and honor.

Your videos have entertained me in dark times, have made me a more responsible gun owner, and have allowed me to help educate others in firearms safety/responsibility. So once again, with all my heart: thank you Paul.
