The heart tote kills me bc its so floppy... guys if you want your bags to have structure, PLEASE invest in interfacing!! I use corduroy and denim
to make satchels and I use fusible fleece interfacing, and it makes a world of difference. It gives the bags structure so its not flat and wilty like the heart bag, makes them sturdier, and overall just look better! And interfacing isn't expensive, and they have so many kinds, like fusible (so you don't have to sew it, just iron), sew on, lightweight, midweight, featherweight, wash away interfacing for embroidery projects that need a bit of structure to embroider on but you don't want to keep the interfacing after you're done, tear away for the same purpose, heat n bond, apparel interfacing... PLEASE do yourself a favor and invest/research interfacing!!

we're starting the sewing unit next week in facs and I'm sooo excited! we're going to be learning the hand-sewing basics and stuff, and also make a pouch and face mask. So I'm planning that after my teacher starts teaching us, I'm going to try to hand sew some small stuff first (like bucket hats maybe? and tote bags too) and then when I have more experience, I'll ask my parents if they can get me a sewing machine so i can start making my own clothes :)

Don’t use the plastic method! Because not all plastic is non stick and non transfer (some plastic can dirty your fabrics too!) And don’t use newspaper too, instead use your scraps tracing paper that you used for your patterns or if your fabric is not too thick you can also tape your sewing foot with duct tape/marker tape~

When my mom was young she used to sew clothes and dresses ( I think mostly wedding dresses) for multiple people and coincidentally i want to become a fashion designer so when I told my mom she actually supported me and i will probably get a sewing machine soon because my mom wants to but asks me where I would put it because there isn't that much space in my room so I might put it in the living room.
