King Meets 99-year-old D-Day veteran in Aberdeen

King Charles met with a 99-year-old D-Day veteran as he visited the Gordon Highlanders Museum in Aberdeen on Monday. The veteran missed the chance to meet the monarch last year when he was unable to travel to the D-Day commemorations in Normandy. Report by Louise Kennedy.

The king is excellent with people and takes time to hear and listen to everyone. Yes, it was lovely to see It Col Thompson too. It does not happen too often now, or wearing his uniform, but they suit each other and are a good team. What a special day for all concerned here.X

Many people hate or dislike Charles for some reason, however, he is very sweet with the folks anywhere he goes! I've never seen another King being this casual and friendly with his people anywhere else! Kudos

I love how King Charles spends time talking to everyone, he meets his sense of humor and interest in them is so refreshing, he seems to genuinely enjoy being around people and makes them feel appreciated and he seems honored to be among them.

Fabulous . I just love seeing His Majesty being so chatty and managing the walkabout so graciously. That white haired lady with the red skimmer coat had such a glorious twinkle and sparkle in her eye. God Save tge King!!!
