No hate to the dub VAs, but Chuuya's original VA is fucking Taniyama Kishou, the man with some of the most iconic screams in the anime industry. It'd be hard to recreate THAT for anyone else :')

Trust me, Japanese Dub has WAY better screams from Chuuya. You'll see especially in Season 3 😭 Also, notice how he's screaming Dazai's name! Cool detail that even I didn't notice at first haha

The VA is trying to recreate the japanese scream where his scream goes so high he might be reversing puberty.

Honestly I respect the English VA for trying to recreate the original, rather than doing a much easier normal anime scream.
