"Lush Life" is a jazz standard with lyrics and music written by Billy Strayhorn from 1933 to 1938. However, the song was only performed privately by Strayhorn until he and vocalist Kay Davis performed it on November 13, 1948 with the Duke Ellington Orchestra at Carnegie Hall. It is usually performed in the key of D-flat major.

A super prodigy the likes of which only come around once a century. This kid has mastered jazz  and he's like 11 imagine what he will be doing in 20 years and he'll still be very young relatively. Bring on the jazz renaissance of 2020-2030.

thanks iCanStudioLive -great video posting. He is simply delightful and powerfully talented - I wish him every kindness in the music industry as he navigates it as growing up - with support and encouragement of current jazz giants, hopefully he will develop and enjoy his music with the rest of the world for many years to come. Just a small issue - please acknowledge names of other musicians in the clip ( or perhaps I just can't see on posting?) - I am a bass player, and I know that the backing musicians are often unacknowledged.thanks

Interestingly and I think this may be a fair statement, at this tender age, what does Joey know about emotion? If he has not a clue, and is just playing what he has heard and improvising that, just imagine what he becomes once he experiences some adult emotion and employs it into his art. The future is his. Who is the next drummer and bassist his age on the upswing?

Joey is more talkative speaking in Indonesian language ^^ Cute lil boy...

Very nice! Impressive, regardless the age. Good job to the bass and drummer too. Ending was nice. Done really well.

Sounded like a flat tire at 3:31. He might have hit the wrong key there.

don't change anything... keep being chickerby.... (chick mixed with herby) .. they have both been successful and you are a perfect REPLICA of what that should be. HUG
