Telly Savalas (1922 – 1994) was an American actor and singer whose career spanned four decades. Noted for his bald head and deep, resonant voice, he is perhaps best known for portraying Lt. Theo Kojak on the crime drama series Kojak (1973–1978) and James Bond archvillain Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the film On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969).
Savalas' other roles include Birdman of Alcatraz (1962), The Greatest Story Ever Told (1965), Battle of the Bulge (1965), The Dirty Dozen (1967), Kelly's Heroes (1970), Horror Express (1972), Lisa and the Devil (1974) and Escape to Athena (1979). For Birdman of Alcatraz, he was nominated for the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor.
As a singer, Savalas released a cover of the Bread song "If," which became a UK No. 1 single in 1975. The song also peaked at number 12 in Australia.

Dean Martin (1917 - 1995) was an American singer, actor, and comedian. One of the most popular and enduring American entertainers of the mid-20th century, Martin was nicknamed "The King of Cool." Martin gained his career breakthrough together with comedian Jerry Lewis, billed as Martin & Lewis, in 1946. They performed in nightclubs and later had numerous appearances on radio, television, and films. Following an acrimonious ending of the partnership in 1956, Martin pursued a solo career as a performer and actor. Martin established himself as a singer, recording numerous contemporary songs and standards from the Great American Songbook. He became one of the most popular acts in Las Vegas and was known for his friendship with fellow artists Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr., who formed the Rat Pack. In 1965, Martin was the host of the television variety program The Dean Martin Show, which centered on Martin's singing and comedic talents and characterized his relaxed, easy-going demeanor. From 1974 to 1984, he was roastmaster on the famous Dean Martin Celebrity Roast, drawing celebrities, comedians, and politicians. Throughout his career, Martin performed in concert stages, nightclubs, audio recordings and appeared in 85 film and television productions. His most iconic songs include "Ain't That a Kick in the Head?", "Memories Are Made of This," "That's Amore," "Everybody Loves Somebody," "You're Nobody till Somebody Loves You," "Sway," and "Volare."

You'll never see such talent again especially talking to each other that way. The touchy feely political correctness of today. 🤮

Imagine doing these jokes today. Will Smith slap represents everything that is wrong with society today, IMO. Miss the old days….

I’m glad to have grown up on these wonderful comedians/comediennes & entertainers. It was truly fun to laugh & not take oneself so seriously.
The “wimpification” of this country had not taken over back then, thank goodness for old footage.
Thanks for posting!

These were the TITANS of entertainment!

These people could roast each other without resorting to foul language, unlike today’s so called “celebrities”.

They were better days.
