The sad thing is, if you are good enough at masking, it’s not that people think you have ADHD or autism when you slip up, they’re just like “Why are you doing that?” “Stop being weird” and you’re thinking “Really, you have no idea how well I’m functioning right now!”

I'm really happy I found the ADHD-friendly side of YouTube shorts. These videos totally get me and my experiences!

We can do all of that in the open and still mask perfectly because no one really sees those as signs of ADHD 😭

The impulse buying one just reminded me about the fact I was gonna order some stuff from eBay thank you so much

Thank you. This literally knocked me out of my scrolling paralysis haze. Putting it in front of my face made me realize I hadn't checked the time in a while. It's almost 4am. I'm gunna go to bed now.

CALLED ME OUT WITH THIS ONE!!! Also for my fellow ADHD and AuHD folx, try crocheting! It’s such a fun hobby of mine and it’s so stimulating!! Crocheting for me is the ultimate stimming/stimulating activity and it’s so calming too! It was my hyperfixation during the pandemic and I made so many yarn impulse buys lmaooo but it’s super fun. Crocheting is great bc it’s so quick and so versatile so I never get bored with it. Also it’s really nice for me when I put so much effort into a hyperfixation and I end up actually making something that I can use. It satisfies my “am I being productive” part of my brain and my creative part of my brain. Crocheting is so much fun I hope y’all try it!!!

Ok, I thought no one knew I had ADHD until I told a few of my friends and they all collectively said "We know"

This reminds me that I’m not lazy and out of control, it’s just my adhd making adult life hard for me. We need to keep fighting and at the same time not be too hard on ourselves :)

My husband is 26 and has ADHD. He went his whole life with no diagnosis and no support until I realized he was struggling. He didn’t even know he was. He just thought it was normal. People don’t just grow out of ADHD as kids. They grow into adults who learn how to hide it from others but struggle internally daily

Your page is so inspiring and helpful because what you go through in a daily basis is what I go through and realistic. Lots of people who have adhd don’t tell people because not a lot of people feel comfortable with saying it but thanks for having this page because what I do is not only me.

My mom admitted that she thinks I have adhd but she refuses to get treatment because I’m “ not as bad as her brother was “ and “ I haven’t tried hard enough to fix it yet “

I know there's a lot of symptom overall between anxiety and ADHD but damn I might need to get a diagnosis if y'all don't stop being so relatable

Turns out I finish other people's sentences. I didn't know I did that. I actually answered no every time it came up on the ADHD checklist. I figured it out two weeks ago and I'm still embarrassed when I talk to people because what if they think I was being rude? Like, I'm so sorry, my brain legitimately did not consult with me before saying that!
