Not nearly enough is said about what an incredible drummer Sean Kinney is. Neil Peart of Rush said Kinney was the best active drummer, hands down. Many consider Peart the GOAT. High praise. Listen closely and focus in on the percussion in each song. The way he tastefully uses every piece of his set is amazing. Easily the best drummer of the 90's, and well beyond in the opinion of many. My brother has autism and I'm a heroin addict. The older we get the worse his condition and my health gets causing us to drift further apart from each other mentally. Since our father died we've drifted apart physically too for our mother holds him (my brother) hostage to collect his disability check and because of my addiction no sane judge would ever grant me guardianship. But through it all I still hold out hope that one day we'll live under the same roof again, just the two of us, and be happy just like the two little boys I see in the photo album I flip through whilst listening to this song. So many tears. I love you big brother!!! One day, one day....

Also in the unplugged version you feel like the whole world as stopped when the instruments cut out on the 3rd verse and all you hear is Layne and Jerry singing. As beautiful as the instrumentation is, the chilling harmonic vocals just cut into your soul like nothing else.

When I was in my addiction and had finally got caught up and had to serve hard time my little brother sent me this song about 2 years in and said "this song reminds me of you bruh.... I love you brother" layne will never know how many lives he touched and I don't want to suffer that loss.

This song means so much to me....at times it feels as if this song was written about me when I was growing up in very troubled times, This song and its lyrics are as if AIC really understood me and the sorrows of those sad times I once knew..
