I had the 2012 but was never able to fully mutate it, only the head and back legs because I didn’t know about how the big legs became the front

The monkey's name is Jocko from the Turtles Of The Jungle episode. He turned into a giant ape when Donatello accidentally zapped him with the "Intensifier" which causes all living things to grow. Then Donatello zapped HIMSELF with the Intensifier to bring Jocko back down to size. That's from the original TMNT cartoon S4 E2 .

Everyone forgets to fold the side flaps over and under the chest. It makes the legs have more room to come forward.

The big legs will fit better in turtle mode if you spin the flaps around so they're next to the chest, then they tab in where the L (or M, R and D) buckle is. That gives the big legs more room and you can straighten the legs better.

You can clip the rubber side things into the belt buckle with some work if you turn them around
