Like water, solid bismuth is less dense than it's liquid state. This means that bismuth 'ice' floats.
This is a very rare property.

any gas that can be put into a container and stays in a liquid form is considered molten ONLY if that gas can maintain a solid state such as dry ice CO2 can be considered molten gas while in a container in its liquid form elsewise its a solid or a gas or a plasma....
