Woman killed in drive-by shooting in Renton

Investigators in Renton are working to figure out what led up to a drive-by shooting that resulted in a woman’s death early Monday morning.

Police received calls of shots fired in the area of NE 6th Street and Shelton Place NE at 2:00 a.m.

A woman was shot, but left the scene in a car which ended up in front of a hotel in the 200 block of Sunset Blvd North, approximately two miles from the original shooting scene.

This is freaking weird...if you search for the address, there's nothing there of note, just a residential street a block or two behind the Safeway. Renton police better call in help, this needs to be solved. Or maybe they'll just close off the street with construction cones, like they have with the rest of the town.
Renton is so mismanaged that when the last time there was major spending for local transportation, they wanted to use federal & state moneys to close the downtown Renton Transit Center. They are also the proud owners of the parking garage right next to the transit center, where they tell their citizens that yes, the CCTV works, but no one is monitoring it! The implication, so don't expect anyone to show up if you are assaulted, but if contacted, we'll play a live action tape for you to relive the experience.
