Review of the Quantum X Water filtration Vacuum cleaner. First upright to use water filtration on the market. Did I find it to do a good job cleaning? Is it easy to use and operate?

Thank you for the insightful review. Since you can’t test or touch products before purchasing anymore, reviews like yours are greatly appreciated for buyers like me. Thank you again!

Great presentation, the FACT that you had the (2) vacuums to prove the ultimate difference was key!! I got mine yesterday and used it right away, I was horrified to see what I'm living with. Yes great Presentation.

I sold rainbows over ten years ago. I thought they were the best until I saw a test where flour was poured beneath carpet on concrete. The Rainbow was unable to pull hardly any of the flour up through the carpet. It was very disappointing because the concept is so ingenious but alas, has many inherent flaws. Also, the airflow at the unit (where hose attaches) was somewhat high (80ish CFM) but at the power nozzle was under 20cfm. This means that it only pulled out the dirt in the carpet fibers but nothing beneath the carpet. It is because the air path is to long. By the time the airflow is measured at the carpet it has dropped speed significantly through the hose and wands. Also, if you ever do try a dry-unit again, make sure you get a sealed system. A sealed system is just as important as having a HEPA filter. I use a Kirby these days. It does remove all of the flour from beneath the carpet in the same test the Rainbow was put through. And even if the bag clogs up, the fan generating all the airflow is pushing the air into the filter, not pulling the air through the filter (the bag) so it’s really not a relevant issue in the Kirby’s design. The fan is inches from the carpet so even with a full bag, it maintains 80% to 90% of it’s air flow. Still though, this Quantum vac is a neat design. I wish Vacuum Wars would do the same test with the flour he did used on the Rainbow and Kirby. This might be worth it since it doesn’t suffer from the long air path like it’s canister competitors. Also, a tip - you may need to ad water to it every 20-30 mins. We still use our Rainbow as an air cleaner and the Water evaporated to the point that a lot of the air was not being forced into the water which defeats the purpose. I have to ad water every 30 mins or so. It makes a great air purifier especially amongst the covid 19 pandemic. We add an air sanitizing chemical to the water to kill germs in the air and you could probably add it to your Quantum as well. It’s a Rainbow product. Check out Goodvac.com under rainbow chemicals. It’s the green deoderizer. It’s a full cap full per 2 qts so a half cap full in your Quantum X. Sorry for such a long rant. Just my two cents plus some.

I was thinking about buying one you sold me thanks a bunch.🤗My son has severe allergies and I have a pet Chihuahua named Peaches blessings to you!🌸One question I have for you is can I use plain local water or does it have to be filtered or distilled water?

I hope you have better luck with yours than I did with mine. I had mine for 10 months and have had to have the entire unit 3 times, the power head once and the body once. When the Quantum x works it’s great! I had my Rainbow for 15 years no problems. I have had my Shark for 6 years, no problems. The Shark is still the one I use when the Quantum is not working. I would not recommend this machine to anyone. I will be looking at going back to the Rainbow.

Thank you for your video. We have owned Shark vacuums for the last 15 years. we have gone through 3. they have been damaged by my cats chewing the cord(unplugged-still have my kitties). The latest was an Apex Duo clean which we loved. My daughter who has Downs loves to vacuum but isn't careful about what she vacuums and so I have spent many moments removing socks, t.p. rolls, wadded tape by using a hanger for hose clogs. other clogs are more readily cleaned with the removable parts of the head or connections. This one bit the dust when she vacuumed water with it. Would the Quantum be easy to unclog? how is it with stairs?

I was gonna get a shark up light. But now I want this . I have a shark apex but I might actually sell that to get this. That’s how bad I want it. Our carpets in this house are awful! They attract so much dirt and dust. I empty 3 tanks of black water every time I use my scrubber.

If that was a Dyson Ball multi floor 2 you would’ve saw way more dirt then that with 250 AW or the Dyson Ball Origin with 270 AW or the animal 2 with 306 AW suction power, but I must admit that vacuum is pretty cool with all the lights and to be able to pick up water. I like it very much👍

Awesome review, I just purchased one arriving soon.
Quick question, what makes a vacuum “upright”?

Thank you for the review. My 32 year old Rainbow just died. The Rainbow is a tough act to follow! Please tell me how is the Quantumx holding up now 7 months later? Have you jad anything break? I want water filtration and I love the upright concept and of course the price point is awesome but is it holding up?

I’m really surprised rainbow hasn’t made an upright vacuum

I owned a rainbow since 1995 and still working.. I know exactly how it works since I was a dealer.. it uses a rotating separator to extracts the air from the water.. I wonder what technology quantum x vacuum is using to separate the air from the water.. I’m kind of interested

Great review, MiamiCOIndiana! I'd love to get a new Rainbow, but the cost is prohibitive. I like how thorough you were describing why you like this upright and everything included with it. It looks a lot easier to use than a heavy canister! One question: Do you dump the dirty water in the toilet or toss it outside? You have a marvelous speaking voice and I await more reviews.
