I saw ONE pitch out this past season, and I watch a LOT of baseball games. Lol! In fact, the commentators mentioned how it's really not used anymore.

I miss a lot of what’s now considered “old school” baseball plays. Like stolen bases, pitchouts, hit-and-run plays, and in some cases sacrifice bunts (which will all but disappear now with the universal DH). I miss small ball, and shortened swings, choking up on the bat (sacrificing power for contact). Now all teams rely on the 3-run home run.

I’ll actually never understand how you can miss that throw. Caught for 9 years. Never got a pitch out, still had to make the throw. I was a average 2b student and didn’t miss that throw after 14 years old…
