Katherine Johnson, a pioneering Nasa mathematician celebrated in the film Hidden Figures, passed away at the age of 101 on February 24.Johnson’s mathematical talent took her from a behind-the-scenes job in a racially segregated computing unit at Nasa to a key role in sending astronauts to the moon in the 1960s. Johnson and her black women colleagues were little known to the public for decades but gained overdue recognition in the 2016 Oscar-nominated film. Johnson was portrayed by Taraji P. Henson.

I watched Hidden Figures with my Son 3 weeks ago and he was glued, didnt say a word for the whole film which is rare for an 8 year old.
He admired the strength Katherine and many women like her showed while suffering such difficulties socially.

Do you thing a 100 years old woman will appreciate the award🙄? Ask your Granny, .. What they want is family get together all the time, old people don't like to be alone, all this thing are meaningless for her unless it is awarded to her on the successful Apollo mission to let her be part of the team who making the history, while she's still in Nasa, all just politics show here🤔👎🏽
