On m=-2 just the square root of a number is always positive, so m≠-2 and m=7

I'm just a 15 and doing National 5 Mathematics but if I'm correct, the square root of 16 is (+-)4 so -4+2 IS equal to -2 and if this is true then that means square root of 25 is (+-)5 meaning -5+2 is -3 where as it is supposed to be 7. That's why quadratic equations have x have to values. (again I may be wrong as I'm a national 5 student)
