Sandra Fryhofer, MD, the AMA’s immediate past board chair and liaison to ACIP, discusses the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommendation of an RSV vaccine for pregnant people that would protect infants against the respiratory virus. The vaccine is recommended for use in weeks 32 through 36 of pregnancy, using seasonal administration during September through January.
