Lawmakers pretending that they’re not involved in this makes me laugh

Have a look and see who are the largest shareholders of Duke Energy and you will see the usual suspects. Vanguard, BlackRock, SSgA, Wellington etc. So much for ESG Scores !

It's funny, growing up I was taught, in school, that one of the major responsibilities of government is to ensure that illegal monopolies never happen... I was always asking, "what about utilities? They're all monopolies!!" And getting some bs. Now Amazon, Walmart the country is absolutely all monopolies.

What gets me is that the company says that it has to pay out for the damages, meanwhile it's their insurance company that will actually pay out for that.

Duke power also lobbies the state legislature to prevent having to pay Solar powered Homeowners for the energy that goes back to the Grid.

Ppl in pa just did the same thing to us last winter. Our bill almost doubled & there was nothing we could do about it. Between gas for my vehicle, electricity for my home & these ridiculous food prices I'm just working to live to go to work

only 10 seconds into the video, and i'm a NC resident, they literally knocked our power out for over a week by attacking the substations not to far from fort bragg/liberty. Our grid is very vulnerable.

Please create a video on Car Insurance companies soon. They're also sucking us all dry, and we have to legally have it!

as an energy lineman in texas, those rolling blackouts made us look like villains. the cooperative i work for fought hard to avoid them but it was pointless.

Vladimir Lenin once said: Communism is Soviet power plus the electrification of the whole country.
US is no different.
Enslavement of the masses in every possible way.

The craziest part is the fact they want the people to pay for their mess.

We got Eli Lilly here in Indiana that spilled into the Wabash River many times. That river smelt like chemicals at some points

I work in a coal fired power plant and when Covid hit 3 years ago I had just started. There was a mask shortage and needed special supervisor permission to get one and no body I work with every wore masks, so I breathed in that toxic fly ash for about 1 1/2 years until they got masks fully stocked. Now I wear mine every day

Boss: “Well you just need to grin and bear it.”

Employee: “I generally find the two rarely go together.”

My family noticed that the electric bill went up 100$ more than normal. 😰 We thought we forgot to turn stuff off... Untill we figured others had spiked bills too. 😡

I'm confused by the motive of spending more in order to charge their customers more. How does that lead to profit? I noted the part that says the conglomerates aren't supposed to make a profit, but hen how do they pay their investors?

In the Netherlands they make asphalt out of it and put it in roads. Not that the heavy metals aren't bound to leech out of it anyway. 😢

In NC, there's also a $14 a month "basic customer service fee". My Bank charges $1 per month. They could not explain clearly what their basic customer service fee was for.
Bastards!
