Apple supplier Foxconn is planning to make a debut in the electric vehicles market this year.
Experts say this could transform the iPhone assemblers into collaborators for the i-Car, Apple's ambitious EV project.
The Taiwanese electronic giant said two light vehicles using its own design platform will be unveiled in the fourth quarter...along with some electric buses.
It already unveiled its first-ever EV chassis and a software platform last October.
Meanwhile, Apple has been seeking production partners for the i-Car.
Along with Foxconn...South Korea's Hyundai-Kia, Japan's Nissan and Germany's Volkswagen are being brought up as possible candidates.
