The NEW Weekly Shorts Maps are built by the Community!

The NEW Weekly Shorts tracks are out in TrackMania! Each Sunday 18:00 CET, five new maps are released to public and the community has exactly one week to hunt the maps. The twist: The maps are short, very tricky to drive and the records are hidden for the entire week!
Starting from this week the community has the chance to build and submit maps themselves.

What do you think about the community made maps? Are they better than the ones from Nadeo? 🤔

I want to say, I feel like this community takes Hylis and Nadeo in general for granted too much. Like I've only been playing for 2-3 years, and I know Nadeo aren't perfect and I've maybe missed some of the bigger controversies, but they are all still just people, and I think it's awesome how involved in the community they are.

Seeing Hylis in chat reacting to the community maps with the community is so nice, and not something you would see in a lot of games. I saw one or two people in chat being mean, and I've seen a lot more people being mean when devs are not in chat, but I really think they are given too much hate.

It seems to me that they care a lot about this game, even if they aren't perfect, and I think they deserve more respect for their work.

I think for community maps going forward, they need to make sure their maps arent cut proof. Thats kind of the joy of these mini maps

im so glad to see demon on tm2020 ik hes a legend and insane in tmnf but it just shows how good nadeo hunters really are

that map 4 is a banger. such a simple idea of just 3 blocks wide but so many ways to complete it. definitely the essence of the weekly short imo. should have a reminder to see if others are doing different lines. i could see the top 5 all doing something different.

It's always kinda fun to watch Granady enter a map that I spent about 15-20 minutes getting AT on and have him beat AT by a decent margin on his first or second run. Like, damn. That's not even wheelabuse that's straight up experience/skill diff.
...Tiny is a bit of wheelabuse tho

Hey Granady, just finished watching the video. Wanted to drop a comment saying thanks for showing all top 5 records on last weeks maps instead of just first so i can see all different paths. Maybe next time if you do that spectate from the 5th position so that it is easier to see everyone else in front.

I like the idea community maps but I wish they were built in more of a Nadeo (aka Hylis) style.

They're built a bit too much like the 10s server maps for me. I love those servers but i was enjoying the nadeo style.

It's definitely just a matter of personal preference but I enjoyed the feeling of doing 5 mini campaign maps each week.

Jeez GranaDy has such an insane feel for the game, I've been trying both 36:30 strat and the 40:00 strat for about an hour and a half, over 600 atempts, no matter what I do I get a slowdown when jumping fom the black platform, not enough speed to get to the booster. Seems so easy when he does it haha, oh well gold it is. Thanks for showing the strat anyway, better luck for the better players out there, great video as always!

Skipping over the map I don't have AT on for now (Cheesy - I think I know the route but I want to get AT before I watch any streamers play it). I actually somehow didn't notice that Nadeo had switched to community maps this week until map 3, which I think is a good indicator that they're choosing the maps well to fit the vibe of Shorts

the TMGL identity you were thinking about must have been on Paradice. The identity was picked through a small mapping competition iirc. The identiy used custom ice platforms that went from banked to quaterpipe and some people did 360s which were the intended strat, but others did a normal forward 180 which ended up being faster i think. The identity was built by FlinkTM, but i am not sure who built the map itself.

I'm back after finally getting my last two ATs (forgot I'd actually missed map 5 by 0.003 - infuriating). Holy shit it's incredible how quickly you pick up these tracks, seeing the full route on map 3 on your second run was wild, as someone who missed the main trick for like 10 minutes until I looked at a solid run without it and went "I... don't think I'm saving 0.8 with this route."

Konstruktive Kritik: Ich glaube es wäre spannender, wenn du die Rekorde der vergangen Woche anschaust indem du erst mit deinem Run startest, dann Platz 2-5 anschaust und dann als letztes WR. Würde imo einen größeren Spannungsbogen erzeugen ;) Lieb deinen Kontent <3
