I agree with your theory of damping our flat mop with a neutral cleaner. Our small Tennant CS5 work very well with cleaning hardwood floors.

I use the same mop, mop pad your holding and a solution that my company gave us but one of the employee where I cleaned said the floor still dirty then she showed me she went to go get a oxycide wipe and wipe the floor the white had so much dirt it turn to gray so what is my problem or what I’m I doing wrong how to clean the floor

Came here because even though I've been mopping my wood floor daily the Swiffer pad is filthy every time. I think I need to use more water. Any suggestions for a good cleaning solution that I can make at home?

Our floors use to be clean after mopping but several years later our floor has gone from grey/ black looking dirt to Brown . My parents always used hot boiled watered with neat bleach added to it on for floors. I think the top layer that was on the laminate is breaking down and I think the brown stain on the floor pad is the laminate stain from it breaking down.

I have a tacky wood finish looking floor not real wood in my apartment my sister has a white glossy floor in her apartment and hers is so easy to clean mine I feel like the dirt gets into the grooves and just is so hard to get up plus is brown so it’s hard to know how dirty or clean it is at one given time. I love the way the floors look versus the white glossy looking floor. It’s more comforting but way harder to keep cleans.
I can mop several times and it still don’t get clean. One thing I have learned is taking shoes off at the door. Do not use your house slippers outside Even for a minute. That drags dirt back in then you wonder where it all comes from.

Definition of mopping is wiping the floor. Not scrubbing the floor. are we not charging for something that should be a add on? If so, we are not instructing our customers and they value our work less. Because we’re not house cleaning handyman or house cleaning handy woman!

Or the opposite and they are using water buckets and after the first rinse the water is dirty and then it's spread around
Also when I am cleaning floors I use a big towel to dry myself and you can see the huge difference

We use a flat mop on vinyl and wood/laminate floors in our office cleaning business. Everytime there is a cloudy haze left on all the floors. We've tried different amounts of water. We've tried every recommended type of cleaner and even water only. The only way the film is removed is if we go over it with a dry magic eraser mop. The very next time we have to mop with any amount of moisture the film returns. Have you encountered this?

Hi, I just had this happen today. Didn’t know what to do, house owner didn’t want me to use a lot of water. So the floors never got cleaned well enough, kept getting dirt up with a paper towel when spot checking. What in the world do you do for a hard wood floor?
