I think H&M should have gone to visit her Dad before the engagement was announced or at least just after it. They could have done it privately before the press found him.

He looked after M in her younger years so to dismiss him is horrible.

If he had deserted her mum when she was pregnant with M and not seen her all thru her childhood then that is a different story all together.

I think the way H&M treated him before and after the press found him was very unkind.
I think when H just said M has not got a Dad now is horrible - he is still alive (not very well after heart attack and stroke but still alive) why don't they get on a private plane and go to see him with his grandchildren before he dies?

Yes ok he might have been wrong talking to the press BUT why hadn't M taken H to see him before everything went public and then Thomas Markel might have behaved differently when the press offered him to talk to them etc

She claims to be a Daddy's girl but has treated her Dad like this!

I've been saying all along, I don't think this is going to be some big expose about the Royal Family. I think it's going to be aimed more at the press with vague comments tossed in every now and then about the family, or the "institution, " as they say.

I agree with Nadia that being in the Royal family you have great wealth and privilege and I dont feel they've spoken about that and the luxury they lived in.

Speaking as someone of the Left, I can't help feeling a bit like "you've just discovered Britain's links with slavery and class? ... we've been banging on about this for decades". Watching Harry is a bit like watching a teenager who becomes a zealous convert to a political philosophy you've been telling them about for years and then is holier than thou about it ... whilst making millions (more) dollars from it.

I have been able to watch some of it. I agree with Nadia they are very privileged ( and I am not saying they are not aloud to have mental health issues or bad days and all families or most have issues) But I am getting abit fed up with look at me don't look at me I do believe as we do they need private time and day's off but for all the fabulousness when they are on duty they are on duty and if any of them don't want it they have a choice if you want to not do it I understand But walk away with dignity and behind the scenes deal with your family whoes.

I worked with Harry in 2016 at Invictus and he was so down to earth, back stage was essentially a field and at one point he had to use the toilet and saw a. Line of port o lets on the other side of a fence and proceeded to start and climb the fence…I stopped him and asked him what he was doing and he said he needed to use the loo…I directed him to the shiny celebrity toilets that were brought in with a sign with his name on it… Beyond Down To Earth. I’m American and don’t know protocol and was probably out of line on many of my convos but he just went with it.
Side Note: We only referred to him as “PH” for anyone who thinks the initial thing is odd.

The problem with putting a short bit in on slavery in the documentary means that it doesn't even touch the sides of the history of slavery. Slavery has been around since the dawn of time white people have sold and been slaves, black people have sold and been slaves, same for Asian people etc... There are over 9 million people in modern day slavery in Africa right now, there are many countries which have high rates of slavery. North Korea, Iran, India, China, Russia etc... All right now. Slavery hasn't just gone away. And slotting it in to use it as a quick example to bolster their argument is so disingenuous. White people have sold white people into slavery, black people have sold black people into slavery, asian people have sold Asian people into slavery etc.. It's human callousness, greed, disregard and lack of empathy. All countries and races need to look at their own history and look at what is happening right now because there are still modern day slaves both here in Britain & in America.

You should mention the reliability of claims since this is supposed to be a "documentary" (not a movie review). They "sound" honest isn't enough. Maybe you should stick to reviewing fiction movies. 🤨

must admit (even though Im not a Meghan fan) I started to become highly suspicious of the barrage of negative press that was released before one second of this documentary aired. It appeared to be a concerted effort to devalue the program before it hit the screens. This orchestrated negative publicity actually made me more determined to look as objectively at what (particular Harry) was going to try to say, because I thought if the press was going to this much effort to discredit the program then it must have something to say.

Ive watched 3 episodes - I sort of get the 'unconscious bias' bit now and maybe a little more sympathetic to Meghan in particular. . I think Meghan must have been INCREDIBLY naive. I believe her when she says no one was there to tell her what to do, what to wear etc. She's a very smart woman who couldn't navigate her way through . They made a terrible mistake with the Oprah interview though and now I think people will struggle with their credibility as a result. . Let's wait and see for the next 3 episodes.
