This is my FL Studio remake/recreation/cover of Follow Your Dream from the Project A-ko / プロジェクトＡ子 OST.

All parts transcribed by ear, all instruments (with the exception of VALERIE's voice) are virtual. I watched this movie for the first time ever (I am just casually almost 40 years late to the party) a few weeks ago based off of a recommendation for fans of Kill la Kill. The slapstick comedy and chaotic action energy feel very much the same. There are also character analogues between the two: A-ko = Ryuko, B-ko = Satsuki, C-ko = Mako. Of course, C-ko was my favorite just like Mako is my favorite from KLK.

As a musician, I have always been captivated by the big gated reverb and synths of 80s music. This project was very fun to produce because I got a chance to recreate all of these sounds and put it all together for a composition that also perfectly encapsulates the era. I actually started out transcribing Dance Away though I ended up gravitating toward this song instead.
