Danny has a soft voice, And I think it blended perfectly with this song. He has a dark, yet light voice that has it's shadowy tones, sure. But, When he sings I'm instantly filled with optimism and emotion.

This song really hits home. Especially one verse that Johnny says, Words can lose there meaning once you walk away. When you think about it, couldn’t a lion be a good soul surrounded by evil to where the evil overpowers the good. The good only shows up from time to time and the evil fills in the empty spaces. So all you really see is the evil. If that is the case, then I am a lion. I have hurt people in this world not physically, but emotionally. Those people are my close family, the ones who have always been there for me, and I didn’t treat them the way I was treated. I have said that I would do one thing and I did that complete opposite. So that verse really hits me at home. I am sorry if you read all of that and wasted your time.

I think i just figured out the whole metaphor of this song,
when j3t says "im sorry daughter but your fathers not the same....ill give all those things these lions never gave... cuse i am just a lion and a lion i will stay" j3t is litterally apologizing to his daughter and saying that the "lion(s)" is fame, and he want to give her everything fame isnt giving him. so basically Family, love, time, ect. Then every time Danny says "i am a lion and i want to be free" is saying that j3t (danny also maybe) want more time with their families, they want time to spend as a normal family and be "free" from the lion-fame.
