PC Engine Duo RX Audio Issues

This is a RGB modded PC Engine Duo RX with @Voultar’s RGB board. Work done by @iFixRetro. Great work by both! I’ve recently noticed I’m missing certain audio effects in games. For example, in Dracula X, I get no creaking door sound when I hit run/start. I also get now slash sound when the X is displayed in the title screen. I’m using a clean, legit disc with ossc. I’ve looked at the motherboard/caps and all seem to be OK. Is this a cap replacement fix or laser fix? Any help would be much appreciated.

Cd laser and caps are fine. I think you have a bad sound chip. The onboard one that generates psg and sample based playback. Does this audio issue affect other games? Try a HuCard game.
