I dont think society is there yet. Right now your skills and strengths mean a great deal more than your passion. I was passionate about surfing and scifi, but heck, that was never going to pay my bills.

Normally I love his stuff but this just feels completely vapid. Make your passion your work (" wow I never thought I should just work doing what I enjoy", fantastic /s) but also make sure you make money, oh but also other people will depend on you, so good luck. Basically talking without really saying anything of value

Hello Mr. Dalio, hoping you see this.
Ive read your book on radical transparency, however every time I try to implement changes in my professional environment no one else wants to do anything different. How do I convince them to try something new? They’re scared of rocking the boat but Im more concerned about where we as a team will be 5 & 10 years from how, where as they just think about that pay period or fiscal quarter only.

Any advice about how to approach this without becoming a dictator (thus losing their loyalty)?
