This is exactly why Mabel is such a over hated character. That’s what I like about Gravity Falls is that the characters are human and both sides win and Dipper and Mabel Pines are my second favorite cartoon sibling relationship, with my most favorite being Phineas, Ferb, and Candace. I find Mabel funny and I find both Dipper and Mabel relatable. Also Mabel didn’t intent to start Weridmageddon, didn’t force Dipper to give up being Ford’s assistant, and you can’t blame her for being afraid of growing up.

thanks to the Book of Bill we got some new info, and apparently before they came to gravity falls dipper overheard a fight between their parents that he wasn't supposed to hear, and if mabel knew about that it makes that moment so much more meaningful :')

Stanley was selfish and Ford was obsessed with being a renound hero, Ford getting trapped in the nightmare realm was Stanley being unreasonable and selfish

People say Bill was right when he was talking about all the bad things Mabel did to Dipper over the summer without realizing he’s saying all of that to manipulate her into giving him the journal

Mabel truly is one of the best people in the entire show. As awkward or quote-unquote "annoying" she can be, she truly is pure of heart and knows what's right and what to do. She's such a supportive and loving person and is willing to go to hell and back for her family and friends. Plus, she's a beacon of unwavering positivity and hope, and a ball of pure sunshine! Mabel is such a good kid! We need more people like Mabel.

Honestly I’ll never really get the Mabel hate? She did act selfishly at times, but so did dipper (ex the summerween episode), plus they were both 12 so of course they’d act selfishly at times.
It is nice to see that peoples opinion on her has grown more positive now

Literally throughout the show, Mabel showed concern, love, support and respect for Dipper as he does for her.

But she does return the favor as well.
