Ce, cet, cette, ces | French Demonstrative Adjectives
Показать описание
How do you use the French demonstrative adjectives 'ce', 'cet', 'cette' and 'ces' | French grammar
In French you use the demonstrative adjective ce (this, that) to point out a particular thing or person. Like all adjectives in French, ce changes its form to cette (this, that), cet (this, that) or ces (these, those), depending on whether you are referring to a noun that is masculine or feminine, singular or plural.
When you need to make the distinction, you can attach a suffix to the noun:
–ci = this / these
–là = that / those
However, note that French speakers tend to use -là rather than -ci which can sound a bit formal.
