Hello. What a touching story, especially the part about his grand-grandmother and grandmother. I think you could tell that Joe got emotional when he was talking about them. TBH I got a little emotional myself. Very touching. Thanks for this story.

As a Jew, I understand his pain. My great grandmother had a similar experience with The Cossacks back in the early 1900s. My understanding is that she watched horror as her brother was beheaded by the Cossacks in Kiev and fled to the United States soon after.
