MCC changing the councelling dates according to its whims and fancies is pathetic and shameful. Even in schools, at least in developed states like TN, exam dates once announced will be followed strictly, unless some natural calamity strikes. But, here, the institution which conducts admission to highly acclaimed so called MBBS admission at all India level, extends councelling dates suddenly even after the last date is over. They say, the reason is for including additional seats in some Government colleges in UP, Bihar, MP and Telengana. Can't they give letter of approval for these additional seats or colleges before starting of R2 councelling? Is there so much mismanagement and lack of internal communication?
MCC claims this is for the benefit of students and so they have extended by 1 week, whose councelling dates have been already delayed due to question paper leaks and subsequent SC intervention. But it should be worth pondering that NTA conducts NEET exam amidst HSC academic year, which is unfavorable to the current year students(fresh candidates) appearing for NEET. NTA should conduct NEET exam after HSC exams are over and giving atleast a week or two for preparation for fresh candidates. Conducting NEET exam during academic year, amidst model exams and lab exams will put fresh candidates tough situation but it will favour only repeaters and re-repeaters.
