It just hit me... The gifts that Hosea gives his wife are like the prophets that God gifts you Israel. They are constant reminders of Hosea’s love to his wife dispute her adultery. The prophets are God’s gifts to Israel as constant reminders of His love for his people. This is also mirrored in Jesus and his bride (the church) in the New Testament. 🤯

Wow this is truly mind boggling. I'm currently going through a divorce, not finalized or even close to being done, because she cheated on me. This book resonates with me on a deep level. Even though I'm still going through a painful situation, I'm learning to not hold resentment towards her. It is a fruitless effort. I have prayed for her, and will continue to do so. And I have forgiven her, because I know this is what God wants from me.

Just a heads up, this whole situation has actually turned me to the Lord. Before any of this, I was not a believer and I had no faith. Now I find reading scripture and praying comforting.
