KUIU's Storm Star 2 person tent is designed specifically for mountain hunters looking for the ultimate in 4 season, all weather protection. Light enough in weight to easily carry it up the mountain.

Featuring a double intersecting hoop pole design with a crossing vestibule pole, this unique pole configuration maximizes stability and increases structural integrity in the wind.

Placing the poles on the exterior of the tent fly allows for faster setup and takedown, saving precious time on the mountain. Having the tent fly and body remain connected also eliminates the classic struggle of attaching the fly in high wind and rain, keeping moisture and dirt out.

An asymmetric floor shape provides extra width at the head of the tent for comfortable shoulder to shoulder sleeping. Two large vestibules on the Storm Star allow ample space for food preparation and to store, protect, and dry your gear during storms.

With a bright orange rainfly, the tent is easy to see from a distance in low light or from a plane. Depending on trail weight needs, the tent body can be removed for fly only or fly and footprint pitch.

I have got the Hilleberg Nammatj 2 Dan and last winter i was side by side with my mate who has the Kuiu Storm Star and while the Nammatj stood up well in the wind, it was flapping and the Storm Star was Bomb Proof solid and there was absolutely no sign of any flapping. It's a very impressive tent indeed.

Nice tent. Yes, definitely bring it with you to Scotland. Winds up here can be brutal in winter.

They are a nice premium tent Dan. About the same weight as the Vern 1 with a bit more room. Good winter tent 👍

Thanks Dan, Interesting review.
I've never taken much notice before but after watching the Blot Outdoors Show the other day he mentioned that unlike you, who reviews tents, etcetera mostly to get freebies and offers from companies, he has decided not to take advantage of his massive following.
I think he has a good point and has gained a lot of respect from his fans.
You say that you paid for this tent out of your YouTube payments, which is a good way of offsetting your tax, but of course, you are entitled to do that. However, would you ever consider being like Blot (Chris) and put a stop accepting freebies as well as what you are earning from YT?
By the way, Dan, whatever you decide to do, I'll always follow your awesome channel.

Hi mate, the zips near the vents are there so you don't have to get out of the tent to open and close them!! If you need it venting just zip open the four season door

If Dan can afford it, he can buy a lovely strong tent and I do not blame him. One life just go for it.

Hi Dan, I think it could be a great idea to stick waterproof tape that matches the pockerts on the tent, onto the ends of the Poles to show which one goes where, for when its getting Dark ? 🤔🤨
