Sunday 25 Oct 2015, Woollahra and Waverley Greens (in NSW) hosted a debate/forum on constitutional recognition at Redfern Town Hall to find out what the local Aboriginal community's thoughts about this issue are.

The debate was between Mark Yettica-Paulson and Mick Gooda from the Recognise Campaign, Jenny Monro and Ken Caning who oppose constitutional Recognition and would prefer to self determination and Soveriegnty, with David Shoebridge MLC Greens' Spokesperson for Aboriginal Justice as moderator.

Barton Madden from local Lands Council Welcome to Country.

Bidgigulla Dancers helped put everyone in a good mood.

85 people participated in what was a passionate and insightful event, that discussed issues of Recognition, Sovereignty and Treaty.

Proof that all Australians would benefit form more of these events being held in Town Halls across the country, as it's one way we can all find out what the Aboriginal Peoples want.

Unfortunately the camera broke half way through so it's not all there though there are some pick ups from a second camera that will give you an idea of how successful this type of discussion can be.
