I bought a 2023 with the 1.6L Naturally Aspirated engine offered in my region and I love it!!! This car is very comfortable and is fun to drive! 8 months so far and ZERO issues.

We’ve had the Vitara Turbo for 4 years now, and it still feels like new.

We’ve test driven the 1.6 N/A and the difference is night and day from the 1.4 Turbo.

Because the car is so light and the lag is quite minimal you’d hardly need to rev high to get up to speed. The driving experience is quite enjoyable; it feels like torquey little hatch around corners.

We’ve just changed from the continental tyres this year, so you’re almost guaranteed 50k km with them, the Bridgestone Ecopia EP300 have been very grippy improving the driving dynamics further.

Boot has been enough to carry a tandem stroller with groceries on top.
Cars been averaging 7L/100km and (again because the car is light…) still plenty of meat left on the brake pads.

I have been driving 1.4T for a year now. Suzuki can really kick some dirt in the face of much more expensive cars. In this price range Vitara is an AWD with great engine, brakes and cool looks. Could not get anything similar for even a 1-2K higher price. So far, total satisfaction :)

I purchased one last week Wednesday. It's the blue and black top and I do love it. Thoroughly enjoy driving it.

The only guy with the best car reviews. I sometimes try to watch videos from different channels when I don't find the particular vehicle review on this channel but I find myself closing the video before its even halfway through😅

my wife bought a turbo in Jan 2021, and so far so good, its fit for purpose as she doesn't like bigger than this. fuel economy is great..just drove to the NSW South coast for 11 days during these rainy days and its all good. I'm with a mate driving a V6Kluger and Im leading it and i can say this Vitara git good torque too with a bit of body roll esp on a wet road

Review good as always Paul.
I am glad you included the ground clearance into the review.
As of the Vitara, I guess it's one of the very few small SUVs which looks good, has great visibility esp for kids, spacious interior for its size and oh, I will take the conventional auto over any other auto any day, every day.
I love the design being chunky n squared, and that engine is pretty damn good, but yes it needs more sound deadning and a rear armrest and bit better materials.

I've got the 2020 1.6 model, I here people talking about the 1.4 turbo but if you're a skilled driver you will find the 1.6 more responsive and the paddle shift depends on how you use them your drive can get quite exciting. Loose her on the highway 160km very rapidly attained and she keeps going 180km with ease. Sorry guys not everyone would do this and the six speed makes it so effortless. I agree technology is not that great though but the car is awesomely reliable. Rain sensitive wipers sort of go crazy sometimes and can be annoying because it doesn't know when to stop, so you might have to switch it off and use it manually in slight drizzle. The voice command is sort of stupid at times because it doesn't always easily recognize what you saying to it, so making a phone call hands free can become annoying at times. The windscreen sometimes in rainy weather becomes frosted in certain areas, no matter what you do, wash, wipe, ac/heater on glass it doesn't defrost. Complained about it but the dealership in trinidad 🇹🇹 does nothing, when they check everything it is always good so lots of people don't bother about their warranty and go outside to service. Overall don't get me wrong they are great cars and I love my SUV it is so comfortable to drive yet still it can dust alot of other vehicles out there.

What I love most of this car is its lowkey.

Good & fair review, Paul.

With the dated features & dash and comical torque steer, you missed an opportunity to use an old GoPro, to really amplify that “time warp” feeling.

I’m not a Suzuki basher. I bought one of their motorcycles brand new 4 years ago, and am very happy with it. It’s been bullet-proof.

I'm not someone who typically writes a comment but I had a vitara turbo in white for 2 weeks and another one in grey for 3 weeks while my car was in the repair shop and honestly I couldn't wait to get my vehicle back. The best thing about them is their good visibility and that they are zippy. Apart from that, the center screen is a distraction, there is something constantly, in colour, moving (Paul does a great job of showing you though them all but imagine that as you're driving along) and it's a real shame unless you leave it to a black screen, they could have done better. The interior and layout is not intuitive. The warning systems are quite the interruption to the point that they take your focus away from the road. The bluetooth system takes quite a long time to connect - don't think you will be connected in your driveway, you'll be up and running a few streets away. Forget calling people while you're in the car using the bluetooth system too, people can't hear you, I tried with numerous people and all of them complained in both of the vitaras I had. Along with the subpar fuel economy I was at the servo frequently and it takes 95. Honestly thought this was the biggest waste of money and the family has owned suzuki's previously.

I'm one of the lucky ones that got the last gen of 1.6 turbo diesel from 2018. Highest trim and now putting eibach pro lift kit and AT tyres 215/60 r17. Can't wait

Good, fair review Paul.

Couple of items missed or perhaps worthy to be corrected - for Australia anyways. The black items, such as wheels, are largely standard here pursuant to the model. You noted the lack of technologies of others, but unless I missed it, didn't appear to address the radar system, emergency braking and largely autonomous driving cruise control features. Also from a storage aspect in the rear, there is expander points for the likes of Golf Bags to be put width ways.

With regards to the look, I think it's fine and avoiding change and curves merely for the sake of it - which don't always age well.
DAB is no doubt liked by those who have it and are use to it, but never having had it - it's not missed.

The 1.4L is surprising zippy and a hoot to drive. I have previously had the 1.6, and whilst not as spritely, it was more than capable and we were very happy with it. Again it is largely the case that if you don't know different, it's not an issue. As with most things in life, there's always something seemingly better out there - but with it increased cost / issues.

Now, Suzuki Vitara has a good design. Car is not only for riding but also seen. Good job Suzuki!

Have 1.4t AWD, no problems towing 1100kg caravan. Never felt needed more power. Handling is OK but no getting around fact towing 1100kg with 1250kg vehicle. Sport mode definitely makes difference on hilly roads, surprised they don't offer it in 2WD.

Ive had DAB in the past two cars and I love it. If anything the clarity of it is great.

in Indonesia, Thailand, South Africa, and South America, Suzuki introduced XL7 which is slightly bigger than Vitara, fits 7 people for the top-spec price of 19.000 USD, it already has an E-mirror complete with a dashcam front and back but the rest is the same as with Vitara, including the engine but without turbo and higher ground clearance but at 16-inch wheels. but Suzuki everywhere are known to be very reliable car.
