Novi Sad, in the Northern reaches of Serbia, is known for its beautiful buildings and relaxing atmosphere. We had a few days to explore Novi Sad, and made sure to make the most of it, exploring all the quaint back alleys and routes dotted around the town. Extremely tourist friendly, Novi Sad is the perfect spot to spend a few days and rest up!

Mileva Maric (Einstein) was his first wife, she was Serbian. They have been married from 1903. to 1919. and that northern part of Serbia used to be Austrian back then. Became part of kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes (later renamed to Yugoslavia) after the first world war.

Anyway, they met as students in Zurich. She was one of first woman to finish mathematics since that was uncommon thing for woman to do back then.

So nice that you have visited Novi Sad. Hope you took some time and sat down at one of those busy cafes and had a coffee. Nice view from the fortress.

Oh yay!!! So cool to see Novi Sad. We loved our 3 months there! That main road in old town is literally always busy. Serbians love to socialise and it was so cool, because often I find old towns can be for tourists. But not there in Novi Sad the locals really make good use of their old town. I didn’t know heaps of these facts! Great info! I love the fortress, it’s so picturesque. You had lovely weather :)

I loved getting this tour, I'd never heard of Novi Sad before this video. It looks like a great place to explore with a lot of history. Even the back of the Synagogue was beautiful!

I almost thought you were going to crash into the concert so you could see the place inside. Great coverage as always from Serbia this time.

Interesting background story of the clock's long hand is for hour and short hand for minute ...Nice, small town with many places to visit. Thanks for showing us places all around the globe. 👍

It was smart to protect the statue themselves. The old town is very pretty. Albert Einstein, there has been a lot of talk about him recently. The church looks quite nice. I would enjoy a concert inside the synogoue.

I suggest that you visit Subotica and the sinagogue there, one of the biggest and most beautiful in Europe.

Can you stow me away in your luggage? I know you did this last year, but future trips, safely, in the future please? I love cities near water, or divided by water, with bridges, and especially fortresses 🙃. Cities have since been constructed around the world NOT by water, but I find because of necessity and utility, many of the oldest and therefore architecturally picturesque are all by done form of water. This was cool. I can’t wait to eventually visit.
